A very rare didrachm from Akragas from the Kunstfreund Collection

SICILY. Akragas. Circa 410-406 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 8.43 g, 1 h). [AKPAΓA-N-TI-NON] Eagle standing left with wings spread, attacking a coiled serpent; above, ΣΤΡΑ. Rev. Crab; above, vine leaf; below, wreckfish to left. Gulbenkian 165 (same dies). Jameson 512 (same dies). Rizzo pl. III, 2. SNG ANS 1001. Westermark 602 (O1'/R1). Very rare and lightly toned, a beautiful example of this magnificent issue. Minor deposits and with light traces of overstriking on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
